The Thegyan River is a river located in the Arakan Joma mountains on the Maymyo Peninsula of Burma.
Geographical information[]
Most of the river is surrounded by dense jungle typically found in Burma. The Thegyan River enters a deep gorge from a waterfall around the bridge crossing constructed by the Japanese as a supply route. This bridge is the only crossing over the Thegyan in this area, and is vitally important to the Japanese. The entire surrounding area is dotted with machine gun positions and patrolled frequently. A Japanese camp is located nearby, it's exact purpose other than a command outpost is unknown. This area also features the ruins of an ancient Buddhist temple.
